Neuroscience Data Interface is a structured and versioned database system that takes neurophysiological and imaging data acquired from different recording technologies and standardizes them for storage and applications. This standard facilitates reproducible analyses across laboratories and provides researchers with a clear dependency chain from Nth derivative to source data.

VH-Lab (Brandeis University) worked with Squishymedia to develop the Python implementation of NDI-matlab. Utilizing a flexible new ORM database interface, a modular approach to data acquisition inputs and database options, and portable methods for managing versions and dependencies, Squishymedia has worked to ensure that NDI users have an adaptable tool that can track ongoing experiment data and expedite its sharing between labs.
